El libro Energías Renovables y Sostenibilidad Comunitaria: Diseño, Implementación y Gestión de Sistemas Energéticos Limpios presenta un desarrollo integral, técnico y aplicado de las principales tecnologías de energía renovable, orientadas al diseño, implementación y gestión de proyectos energéticos sostenibles en entornos comunitarios. En sus capítulos se exponen los fundamentos conceptuales de la transición energética, el marco histórico y normativo internacional, así como los principios técnicos de las energías solar, eólica, hidráulica, geotérmica y de la biomasa, incorporando criterios de eficiencia, sostenibilidad ambiental y viabilidad socioeconómica. De igual manera, se describen metodologías para la formulación y evaluación de proyectos energéticos, que incluyen el diagnóstico de la demanda, el análisis de recursos locales, los estudios técnico-económicos, los indicadores de desempeño energético y las estrategias de mantenimiento y gestión operativa. El contenido integra enfoques contemporáneos como sistemas híbridos, microredes inteligentes, almacenamiento energético, digitalización, algoritmos de optimización y mantenimiento predictivo, destacando su aplicabilidad en territorios rurales y comunidades con acceso limitado a servicios energéticos convencionales. De forma transversal, se resalta la relevancia de la gobernanza participativa, la formación técnica local, los modelos de negocio sostenibles y la transferencia tecnológica universidad–comunidad como pilares para la permanencia y escalabilidad de los sistemas energéticos comunitarios. En este marco, el libro constituye un aporte técnico y académico significativo y se consolida como un insumo fundamental para el “Proyecto de Investigación: Aplicación de Energía Renovable en la Casa Comunal de San Francisco de Paján”, al aportar bases científicas, metodológicas y operativas directamente aplicables al diseño, implementación y evaluación de soluciones energéticas limpias orientadas al desarrollo local sostenible.
